June 15, 2020 SEWA launches "Strategies Week" to review and develop performance

Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) on Sunday inaugurated a week of strategies with the aim of conducting the necessary analyzes of the strategic situation and competitive situation and taking administrative decisions to develop performance after the decline of the Coronavirus pandemic, the return of work in all sectors, and setting performance standards to link the authority’s vision and mission with the applied reality of this vision.

Through the tasks and activities of the executive departments, and defining a number of different performance standards that can be used as indicators of success, through cooperation between all departments and work teams to review and evaluate the strategy of the integrated body, preventive measures and smart transformation in providing services, and the activities of the strategies week in the authority continue with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Eng. Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of SEWA, from 7 am to 7 pm throughout the week. 

More than 35 departments, teams, and a number of representatives of the industrial, commercial and residential sectors participate in the meetings and workshops. At the end of the week’s activities, the features of the new strategy in all sectors will be announced. 

Al Leem, confirmed that this week the Authority is working to review the strategies of all areas of work, in order to ensure the way forward in applying the foundations and standards. 

He explained that the authority is working on the periodic and regular review of strategic plans in all departments, projects, operational activities and tactical plans of organisational units, and the development of a strategy to enhance energy efficiency and the management of energy and water demand.
