July 15, 2020 SEWA delivers electricity for 135 residential buildings

 Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) has completed the connection and operation of the electricity for 135 residential buildings in the city of Sharjah within only 15 days, as part of the Authority’s commitment to ensure the best services to the people of the Emirate of Sharjah.

His Excellency Eng. Dr. Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA), has expressed the Authority keenness to develop its procedures and provide the best services with a high efficiency, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to take all measures to develop services and ensure security and safety to the public in the Emirate of Sharjah. 

He has highlighted the serious danger of random electrical connections, stressing on the necessity of communicating with the Authority before implementing any connection. 

Al Leem stressed that the Commission continues in the awareness and inspection campaigns that aim to protect and provide security, safety, education and awareness of the importance of correcting the situation to avoid any dangers or fires and catastrophic damage and the negative effects that this has on individuals and public and private properties. 

Amna Al Zari indicated that a number of channels were provided to submit the delivery request, which included reviewing the commercial office or communicating through WhatsApp No. 065021576 or by e-mail commercial@sewa.gov.ae contributed to increasing the number of requests received by the commercial office that dealt with them. 

She added that the documents required to deliver electricity to the existing annexes include a copy of the identity card, a copy of the land map, a copy of the title deed, and a copy of the "sketch" from the municipality.
