May 28, 2019 SEWA receives third batch of university students

SEWA’s move aims to familiarise university students with the latest technical and administrative work systems and operation of electricity distribution and desalination plants, and to train and rehabilitate them for the labour market. 

Dr. Eng. Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of SEWA , stressed that the Authority is keen to maintain continuous communication with universities and educational institutions, support training programmes for students so that they can contribute to the augmentation of specialised technical skills and cadres for the work not only at SEWA but also at all bodies, institutions, departments, as well as private companies. 

He pointed out that the focus on the development and training of competencies is one of the important elements of development being witnessed by SEWA under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which aim to develop human cadres to enable them to keep pace with development and smart transformation in delivery of services. 

Budour Saif Al Nakhi, head of students’ training programme said that the training programme saw the attendance of 150 students from various educational institutions.
