November 18, 2019 180 SEWA employees receive international first aid licence

Sharjah 24: 150 employees from Sharjah Water and Electricity Authority (SEWA) received an international first aid licence along with 30 employees receiving an international licence in providing oxygen, as part of an initiative by SEWA, aimed in organising a number of workshops and training programs that benefited more than 350 employees, this came with the accreditation of a first aid instructor by the American international organisation, Emergency First Response (EFR).

Dr. Eng. Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of SEWA, stressed that SEWA is implementing an integrated program to provide security, health and safety for workers in all work locations, pointing out the keenness to develop the skills and abilities of employees in all fields and enhance the culture of community participation. 

The Chairman of SEWA maintained that SEWA aims to raise awareness of first aid among employees, to save lives during accidents, and to deal with the sudden health conditions, especially in the field, focusing on the importance of mastering lifesaving skills in times of need.
