March 13, 2023 SEWA creates HR tools for efficiency and job satisfaction

The Authority's Director of Human Resources, Majid Al-Mutawa, recently elaborated on the year 2022's development and update of a suite of procedures, noting that one of the highlights was the implementation of an integrated system for managing corporate resources in conjunction with SAP for strategic planning and operational management.

Job categories within the authority have been analysed, benchmarking has been conducted in conjunction with Gartner and SHRM, and performance indicators have been incorporated into the management of the annual evaluation system for employees in order to ascertain the time frame and strategy for reaching the goal, updating behavioural competencies, and increasing the overall quality of the workforce. The goal is to harmonise job titles with job specifications and update them to reflect the most recent trends and shifts in the workplace.
 
He mentioned that in the year 2022, the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority had adopted a training plan that included 26 training programmes for workers, as well as 5 specialised training classes, in order to certify and improve the abilities of its human staff at all employment levels.
