SERVICE GUIDE

Generation, Transmission and Distribution of electrical power to cover the needs of the customers at the various residential, industrial and commercial sectors throughout the Emirate of Sharjah as well as the requirements of the public utilities such as government buildings, hospitals, mosques and lighting of public parks, streets etc. To provide such services, SEWA has established several generation power stations and transmission and distributions covering all parts of the Emirate.

 

Requirements for Permanent Connection

  1. Application for electricity supply.
  2. The drawings approved by SEWA.
  3. The trade license of electrical contractor approved by SEWA.
  4. The professional license of the electrical contractor issued by the Economic Development Department.
  5. Affection Plan.
  6. Building permission.
  7. Passport copy.
  8. Initial inspection application (electricity).
  9. Thermal Insulation Inspection Application
Requirements for Provisional Connection
+

  1. Application for electricity supply.
  2. The trade license copy of the electrical contractor approved by SEWA.
  3. Affection Plan.
  4. The professional license of the electrical contractor issued by the Economic Development Department.
  5. Building permission.
  6. Passport copies (for individuals) or License copy (for companies).
Documents required for meter relocation

  1. No Objection Letter from the concerned customer care center.
  2. Affection Plan.
  3. A/c No. + Meter No.
  4. Passport copies
  5. The trade license copy of the electrical contractor
  6. Building permission
Documents required for changing the meter or increasing the load
+

  1. Application for electricity supply (the old load + the new load)
  2. The trade license of the electrical contractor approved by SEWA.
  3. Affection Plan.
  4. Previous invoice.
  5. No Objection Letter from the owner.
  6. Building permission (in case of any)
Documents required for installation of additional meter

  1. Application for electricity supply (new+old).
  2. The trade license of the electrical contractor approved by SEWA.
  3. Affection Plan.
  4. Building permission.s
  5. No Objection Letter from the owner.
Documents required for demolition and disconnection
+

  1. Letter of concerned customer care center confirming the supply disconnection for demolition.
  2. Affection Plan.
  3. Municipality letter for demolition.
