SEWA participates in Water &
Energy Technology Exhibition (WETEX
2007)
In line with its policy to take
part in the major local events
on water, electricity and
environment, SEWA participated
in Water, Energy Technology &
Environment Exhibition – WETEX
2007 was organized by Dubai
Electricity & Water Authority
during the period 13 – 15 March
2007.
The event which was organized at
Dubai World Trade Center was
officially opened by H.E Sheikh
Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
the Deputy of Dubai and UAE
Minister of Finance & Industry.
Mr. Ali Mohammed Al Shaer, the
Assistant Deputy Director and a
number of SEWA's officials,
received Sheikh Hamdan bin
Rashid who visited SEWA Pavilion
and toured its various stands.
The Deputy Ruler of Dubai and
Minister of Finance & Industry
was briefed of considerable
development made by SEWA. H.E
Sheikh Hamdan took a good
impression of projects and
achievements made by SEWA which
were reflected by the different
exhibits displayed at the
pavilion as well as the film
displayed in the pavilion to
highlight the achievements of
SEWA since its establishment.
The pavilion organized by SEWA
at Water, Energy Technology &
Environment Exhibition was very
attractive and distinguished. It
received a considerable response
from the visitors of the
Exhibition. The exhibits cover
the safety and security
techniques provided at SEWA's
stations of power, and water and
installations of distribution
and transmission, SEWA
publications highlighting the
need for conserving potable
water and power and keeping our
environment clean. Special focus
was made on safety
considerations and environmental
benefits of Sharjah Natural Gas
Distribution Project which
provides the consumers with
piped natural gas.
The pavilion includes a special
stand for Sharjah Institute of
Technology, Men and Ladies
divisions. The exhibits promoted
the programs and courses offered
by the institute as well as its
development stages since its
establishment.
The pavilion included a special
stand for Zulal Water Factory
where Zulal products were
displayed. Free Zulal products
were presented to the visitors
of the stand. A separate stand
was also provided for Sharjah
Institute of Technology (male &
Female) to focus the light on
courses offered by the institute
as well as developments
undergone in this regard since
the establishment of the
Institute. |
