Sharjah Electricity and Water
Authority (SEWA) introduced new
electronic bill payment services
in line with its commitment to
provide the customers with the
state-of-the- art convenient
services.
Residents can now pay their
bills at 100 branches of the Al
Ansari Exchange all over the
UAE, 24 branches of Wall Street
Exchange, 90 branches of the
Emirates Exchange Centre and
five Tas’heel centers, two of
which are located in Sharjah,
two in Dubai and one in Ajman.
Also, payments can be made at
SEWA machines, which can be
found in 65 different locations,
including Lulu Centre outlets,
petrol stations and SEWA
departments. Work is currently
in progress to install payment
machines at 64 locations.
Mr. Ibrahim Rashid Demass,
the Deputy Director General said
that SEWA always make its
endeavors to upgrade and improve
its services and provide the
customers with convenient
optional facilities and
benefits. This new facility of
paying consumption bills
reflects the SEWA's constantly
drives for the customer
satisfaction and our commitment
to improve the services. The
customers will be able to easily
and conveniently pay their
utility bills through a number
of selected payment facilities.
Mr. Ibrahim Rashid Demass noted
that customers using the new
payment facilities are in
consistent increase as 78,000
customers used the new
facilities in paying their bills
last month against 17,000
customers in the same month of
last year.
On other hand, Mr. Mohammed
Hanif, IT Director at SEWA, said
that people can also pay their
bills at 22 different banks with
Sharjah Islamic Bank, Standard
Chartered Bank and HSBC being
linked to the direct electronic
payment network. Bills can also
be paid through Etisalat
automatic payment machines,
located across Sharjah. He added
that the new technological
applications used in such
service will facilitate the
processes the data
transportation between the banks
and the payment transactions.
Thus, the newly introduced
e-services will save time and
efforts for our customers.
