introduction of the piped gas
supply service comes in line
with vision of H.H. the Ruler to
provide the nationals and the
residents of Sharjah with high
living standards. Today the gas
network covers 90% of Sharjah
City as about 85000 customers
are taking advantage of this new
service at residential,
commercial and industrial
areas. In 2003, the Executive
council approved a feasibility
study made and by SEWA to
introduce the use of CNG a fuel

first Gas Filling Station was
commissioned in Sharjah and
another Filling Station is under
construction. Conversion of 250
vehicles belonged to Sharjah
Municipality is under progress.

Gas Distribution Network and the
project on use of CNG as fuel
for vehicles.
