The Ruler
Attends Graduation of the
Leadership Programme's First
Batch
His Highness Dr. Sultan Bin
Mohammed Al Qassimi, member of
the Supreme Council, Ruler of
Sharjah and Honorary President
of Sharjah Tatweer Forum
attended the graduation ceremony
of the first batch of graduates
of Tatweer Leadership Programme
held on the 22nd of
February, 2007 at Al Qasbaa
Canal Theater.
During the ceremony H.H. the
Ruler awarded appreciation
certificates to the supervisors
of the programme and
certificates of completion to
the 16 participants of which
SEWA participants: Eng. Khalid
Masood at Sharjah institute of
Technology and Eng. Gada Juma at
the Directorate of Transmission
& Distribution after finishing
the 12-session course that gave
the participants invaluable
theoretical inputs and provided
immersion activities that
exposed candidates to actual
management situations and
challenges in government and
private agencies.
Hussain Al Mahmoudi, chairman of
Sharjah Tatweer Forum expressed
his deep gratitude and
appreciation to H.H. the Ruler
of Sharjah for his unlimited
support to the programme
stressing that Sharjah Tatweer
Forum reached this remarkable
success manifesting in the
celebration of the first batch
of graduates of Tatweer
Leadership Programme by virtue
of the government commitment to
raise the standards of
development in the emirate of
Sharjah in general and Sharjah
Tatweer Forum in particular.
He stressed that the national
men and women graduates of
Sharjah are the solid foundation
of future young leaders as they
invested time and effort to
equip themselves with the skills
and competencies necessary to
carry out the tasks ahead.
He also praised the important
role played by the Tatweer
leadership programme, which has
been a key instrument in
fulfilling the ambitions of
these highly motivated and
talented young professionals and
realize the long-term goals of
Sharjah. He expressed his
confidence that these graduates
shall inspire other young
Sharjah Nationals to contribute
to the development of the
society as the success of these
young men and women will
ultimately ensure Sharjah's
overall progress.
The National participants of the
programme had the opportunity to
implement the practical
activities through out
establishing workshops based on
swapping positions between
professionals in the public
sector and their peers in
private sector to explore each
working environment followed by
preparing thorough reports
containing the major outcomes
drawn from the swap experience.
The participants of the
programme underwent training in
various subjects such as
emerging concepts in customers
relationship management,
strategic thinking, leadership
and team building, analytical
thinking and problem solving and
the use of psychometric
assessment in selection and
development of human resources. |
