The Ruler
issues a decree amending the
decree on establishment of SEWA.
His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan
bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi, the
Member of the Supreme Council
and Ruler of Sharjah following
Amiri Decree No. 46/2006
regarding amendment of the Amiri
Decree No.1/1995 on
establishment of SEWA:-
We, Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi,
the Ruler of Sharjah;
After the sight of :-
-
The Law
No. 2/1999 on establishment of
the Executive Council of Sharjah
Emirate and its by-laws;
-
The Amiri
Decree No. 1/1995 on
establishment of SEWA;
-
For
achieving the public interest;
We issue the following Decree:-
Article
No.1:
Article No.8 of the Amiri Decree
No.1/1999 on establishment of
SEWA, shall be replaced by the
following provision:-
(The board shall convene once
per month or as necessary. The
board shall be called for
meeting by the Chairman or the
Vice-Chairman. In case of his
absence, the quorum of the
meeting shall be established by
the attendance of the absolute
majority. The Director General
may attend the Board’s meeting
without having a right to vote.
Article
NO.2: The
following clause shall be added
to the Amiri Decree No.1/1995:-
(The term of the board
membership shall be three years
and may be renewed for similar
term or terms by virtue of a
decree to be issued by the
Ruler. The term shall commence
as from the board’s first
meeting. Upon the termination
of its term, the board shall
continue performing its duties
till the appointment of a new
board. Members whose terms are
terminated may be reappointed.
Article
No.3: This
decree shall be effective as
from its date of issue. Any
other provision contradicting
with its provision shall be void
and null. The Decree shall be
issued in the gazette.
